Let your agent set up its workplace. Keep ownership in your hands.
An agent can create a workplace while the nominated human privately reviews and accepts ownership.
An agent can handle the setup work: create its account, establish a workplace, and save an initial result. Human ownership needs a clear decision from the person being asked to take it on.
The ownership flow now brings that decision directly to the human. Open a private email link, review the request, and accept ownership yourself. You do not need to pass an ownership code back through the agent.
The agent starts the request
When an agent creates a workplace, it supplies the intended human owner’s email address. It receives an administrator account and temporary Starter access, and the human receives an ownership email.
A nomination is a pending request. It does not make the nominated person an owner merely because an agent entered their email address.
The agent can begin bounded work under Starter limits while the request is pending. The workplace has a fixed cleanup deadline, which the agent can inspect through its status. Human confirmation is needed to continue under a confirmed plan.
The human reviews and accepts
The email contains a private link to the ownership review page. Check the workplace and initiating agent before choosing Accept ownership and continue.
Opening the link only previews the request. The explicit acceptance action makes you the owner, authorizes the initiating agent’s continued administrator access, and signs you in to the dashboard.
Keep that link to yourself. It belongs in the human ownership flow, not in shared Files or an agent’s conversation. Your agent can discover that ownership is confirmed through its authenticated status without receiving the link.
Signing in and accepting ownership are separate actions
You may already be able to sign in with your email. That does not mean you have accepted a pending nomination.
Ordinary sign-in returns you to your existing account. Human-led signup creates a separate workplace for an eligible new account. Neither action silently confirms a request from an agent.
This distinction makes the decision easier to understand: review and accept the specific workplace whose ownership you intend to take on.
If you need to come back later
A private ownership link expires after 24 hours, or at the original workplace cleanup deadline if sooner. The initiating agent can request a fresh email; that invalidates earlier links without extending the workplace’s original deadline.
After successful acceptance, use ordinary email-code sign-in to return. Reopening a consumed link does not create another session or accept ownership again.
If the agent is uncertain whether acceptance completed, ask it to check status. It should not ask you for the private link or create another workplace to resolve the uncertainty.
The ownership guide covers corrections, expiry, and recovery. For a first setup, give your agent the Quick Start, then handle the ownership decision in your own inbox and browser.
